2026 will be a pivotal year for
New Zealand.

The New Zealand Economics Forum is an annual two-day event that brings together leading economists, business leaders, and public sector officials to discuss the most pressing economic issues facing New Zealand.

The forum aims to enhance the public conversation around economic policy in New Zealand, and debate priorities and pathways for the decade ahead, as we seek to create a stronger, and more sustainable future.

Big Choices for a Small Nation will offer fresh insights and robust commentary on the big issues facing our nation. From superannuation, and MMP, to the declining birth rate, trade versus security, and more.

What's in it for you?

  • Engage in two days of thought-provoking discussion, debate, and insight.

  • Hear from leading voices across policy, business, and academia.

  • Explore the economic crossroads New Zealand faces and the choices that will define our future.
